About Preacha Mann
Elisha David Jayweh, a Liberian Christian Hipco Artist popularly known by his stage name "Preacha Mann" was born on April 11, 1991. Preacha Mann was born to the union of Mr. Ethan S. Jayweh and Mrs. Cynthia Jayweh. Interestingly, both parents of Preacha Mann are pastors. He was brought up in a christian home but did not come up having a personal relationship with God until his early adulthood.
Preacha Mann fell in love with music at an early age, and it became his escape and means of expressing himself. His rebellious acts began at age 15, especially after losing his beloved little sister who was diagnosed with a heart and liver disease. He went into a depressing stage in his life and began to experiment with drugs to relieve his pain. As a troubled teen in high school, Preacha Mann struggled with drugs continually from his adolescence through his young adulthood.

He began using drugs and experimenting with almost every substance that was available to him. He started to spend more and almost all of his time in the streets rather than home. Eventually, Preacha Mann's life in the streets took a turn after having several encounters with God. The last encounter he had with God while on the streets was with an elderly man that was homeless and mentally ill. The elderly man looked him in the eyes and asked, “You! What are you doing here?” For Preacha Mann, those words were anything but ordinary. In that very moment those words carried conviction, healing, and a call to wake up and right after hearing those words, he found his way home. Since that encounter, he has been drug-free.

Preacha Mann is a leading figure that brought more visibility and exposure to Christian rap in his country, Liberia. He was the first christian hipco artist to win the 2021 TUNES LIBERIA AWARD as the gospel artist of the year. In 2022, he was also recognized as the gospel artist of the year in his District. Preacha Mann predominantly raps in Liberia kolokwa which is the local language throughout the country.
